Women Entrepreneurship

We envision a world where every women has free access to information for running her business in the digital world. Though women are often drivers for the income of their families, they are double punished by the digital divide. First, “boys with toys” own a smartphone. And, even in some areas where there is 3G, about 30% of male have a mobile broadband subscription, but only 2% of women.
Thus, we need a new regulatory framework with free access to entrepreneurial information tailored towards women.[/nectar_highlighted_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type="in_container" full_screen_row_position="middle" scene_position="center" text_color="dark" text_align="left" overlay_strength="0.3" shape_divider_position="bottom" bg_image_animation="none"][vc_column column_padding="no-extra-padding" column_padding_position="all" background_color_opacity="1" background_hover_color_opacity="1" column_link_target="_self" column_shadow="none" column_border_radius="none" width="1/1" tablet_width_inherit="default" tablet_text_alignment="default" phone_text_alignment="default" column_border_width="none" column_border_style="solid" bg_image_animation="none"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type="in_container" full_screen_row_position="middle" bg_color="#dfe3e2" scene_position="center" text_color="dark" text_align="left" overlay_strength="0.3" shape_divider_position="bottom" bg_image_animation="none" shape_type=""][vc_column column_padding="padding-2-percent" column_padding_position="all" background_color_opacity="1" background_hover_color_opacity="1" column_link_target="_self" column_shadow="none" column_border_radius="none" width="1/2" tablet_width_inherit="default" tablet_text_alignment="default" phone_text_alignment="default" column_border_width="none" column_border_style="solid" bg_image_animation="none"][nectar_highlighted_text style="full_text"]

Esilalei

Esilalei (Lat -3.46945, Long 35.97469) - received 3G Tigo coverage Jun2018, and got our equipment in Mar2019. It was our first installation in Tanzania, using a 120 W solar panel to power the village hot-spot, and enlighten the community building.

Izazi

We selected Izazi, one of the villages in the Iringa district in Tanzania, as a pilot site for providing Internet Lite for All. Izazi is located at the Mtera dam, and it's only about 11 km to the 3G mobile towers in Migoli. Though, as hidden behind the mountain ridge, there is no mobile broadband coverage in Izazi. We connected the community building in 90 min, and from there reached out to the primary health station.
